Too many of us awaken in the morning with a forlorn feeling in our hearts. There's a sigh within that says, "Oh my, it's morning. Another day!" Then we begrudgingly begin our day, wearisomely facing all our tasks.
Why not try something different today? Why not begin your day with some positive, life-affirming statements? Say to your self this morning, "This is going to be a great day. What a privilege it is to live yet another day! I have so much for which to be thankful. There are people all over the world who are sick, starving, without clothes and hope. Yet I have so much compared to them. I will not worry or fear today. I will trust the One who created me with everything in my life. I will believe my dreams can still come true and every obstacle can be overcome. I will outlast every difficulty in my life and I will be better off because of those difficulties. This will be a fabulous day. I believe it!"
Is there power in our words to create better situations? Well, here's what I do know: my positive words spoken to me make me feel better. They encourage my own heart. That, within itself, is reason to do so.
Try it and see if it doesn't help your day go better.
